DIY Dinning Room Makeover

One of my girlfriends recently shared with me her dinning room makeover and I just had to share it here with you on the site.   She and her husband bought a 1920's colonial in St. Louis that needed just a few updates, as the original dinning room had very old and outdated wallpaper.   They decided to redo with chic new wall paper from Thibaut and added beautiful wainscoting paneling.   See the before and after shots below- the room looks transformed, fresh and beautiful DIY job!  The actual paper pattern they chose is called Barrowgate.

She had also purchased some vintage dinning chairs from an antique store and planned to find fabric to recover them to fit her new dinning room look.    I absolutely love the detailed backs of these chairs and was impressed to see what good condition they still seem to be in.  Below are the before and after shots, along with a close up of the cute seat fabric she chose.

Her dinning room is still a work in process, but here is the final product all set up for a dinner party!  I'm excited to see what kind of rug and curtains she goes with.
