In my last post I had mentioned that I was off to the beach for a "Naughty Nautical" bachelorette weekend. Now that I am back, I'm happy to share with you some of the fun crafted details from this cute themed weekend! First of all, who doesn't love a bachelorette party right? And for me I love nothing more than party themes, crafting, and trying to DIY as much as possible.
So I started with these cute DIY banners. The first pictured is made from craft paper, puffy paint, and boat rope from Home Depot. Very easy and cheap to make. The second banner was a little more detailed as I wanted to make it look like nautical boating flags. I made it out of bare artist canvas, painted it, and added painted letters on top, attached it to a long ribbon with hot glue, and added a few little shabby bows and ties. Lastly I made a sign for the front of our beach house with cute whale craft paper and puffy paint.
I made this cute little hat with a store bought sailor hat from a party store and attached with hot glue a store bought veil. The favors were my favorite part of our theme because they just turned out so adorable! I started with cheap wine glasses from Ikea and used puffy paint to design anchors and write each guests name. We paired the glasses with mini champagne bottles, added SisStyle earrings in each cup, and put everything in nautical little boxes from Target. The bride's sash was made from wide wire rimmed ribbon, painted with puffy paint, and nautical buttons were attached with hot glue.
These cute little koozies didn't technically fit our theme but we had plans to be be boating and at water bars so they made sense. They were ordered online and I painted them with puffy paint. We had the idea to all wear sailor hats and have them say "Brides Mates", so another one of the guests made these. She ordered them online and used ribbon, glue, and stickers for the wording.
Our custom invites were ordered via this Etsy shop, and our themed bachelorette weekend was more fun than we could have imagined. Throw in a super cute and fabulous bride-to-be and you've got this great DIY Naughty Nautical bachelorette party!
